To ensure you can participate in a live webcast please complete these steps:
|1.||If viewing on a PC, we recommend using Chrome as your browser for the best viewing experience. Make sure you’re connected to a good quality internet connection, with a minimum 10mbps download speed. We recommend anyone on Windows 7 use a browser other than Internet Explorer, as this browser requires a plug-in to view content and is prone to media errors. To ensure compatibility and the best experience on Windows 7, please use Chrome or Firefox.|
Mac users on Mavericks OS will need to disable the power saving function in Safari which is designed to disable all plug-ins.
iPad (2nd gen onwards) & iPhone viewers (iOS 10+) can watch via Mobile Safari using a 3G / 4G connection or via a WiFi network with plenty of download speed. Older iPhone viewers (iOS 9 and before) will need to download the ‘Mediasite Mobile App’ and be connected to a WiFi broadband or 3G / 4G network to view live webcasts. Download the iOS app here.
Android (4.4+) viewing is possible live via Chrome Mobile.
|2.||Adobe Flash Player or Microsoft Silverlight will be required for some older browser versions and / or operating system versions. If you don’t have Flash or Silverlight already installed, and you are using an older configuration, you may be prompted to install one of those plug-ins. Please complete the installation and restart your browser, then try to view the presentation again.|
Some browsers will prompt you to activate Flash or Silverlight. This must be done before the player will load the video. If you don’t see the prompt right away, look for a Plug-in Blocked message in the address bar. Find the option to Activate or Allow to Run Flash or Silverlight. Additionally, you can permanently allow Flash or Silverlight to run – select Always allow this plug-in.
